Key-note Speaker

Michelle Benson

Senator - State of Minnesota

Michelle Benson was raised on a family farm in the western Minnesota community of Murdock where her family still farms today. Growing up she learned the value of hard work and personal responsibility. Her work ethic and determined attitude led her to graduate with a B.A. in chemistry from St. Catherine University in Saint Paul and later with an M.B.A from the University of St. Thomas.

Michelle is a CPA and has done an audit and consulting work at Deloitte, as well as being the executive director at the Upper Midwest Security Alliance. Her experience as an auditor and accountant has made her excellent at exposing unnecessary waste, fraud, and abuse.

Michelle is also very active in her community. Her belief that all children deserve the right to life led her to volunteer at Birthright, an organization dedicated to giving women support through difficult pregnancies.

In the Senate, she has been a leader in lowering health care costs, protecting individual privacy rights, and exposing government waste. She has chaired the powerful Senate Health & Human Services Committee since 2017. In that capacity, she has stopped harmful legislation to mandate vaccinations, allow abortion up until birth, and implement socialized medicine.

Michelle has also been a strong fighter for conservative values. She has the highest lifetime American Conservative Union voting record in the Senate. Benson has led the fight against Governor Walz’s misguided COVID-19 policies and has never wavered against attempts to undermine our 2nd Amendment, overregulate our energy sector, and have the government take over our health care.

Michelle’s unique depth of knowledge and wide-ranging skillset has won her tremendous respect among her colleagues. She was elected Deputy Majority Leader in the Senate.

Michelle resides in Ham Lake with her husband Craig, and their three children
